Lake Mburo National Park

Lake Mburo National Park is Uganda's smallest savannah park and one of its most intimate β€” a peaceful mosaic of rolling hills, acacia woodland, and a string of beautiful lakes. What makes Lake Mburo truly unique is the absence of lions, which allows for activities rarely possible in other East African parks. Walking safaris with expert guides bring you face-to-face with zebras, impalas, and eland at close range. Horseback safaris β€” one of the rarest and most exhilarating ways to experience African wildlife β€” are available here, as are night drives for nocturnal species. The park is perfectly positioned as a stopover between Kampala and the western Uganda parks.
